History of the Organization









The Ballet Folklorico "Sentir Criollo" is an institution dedicated to sharing the Hispanic culture in the United States. The institution shows the hispanic culture through dances. The Ballet Folklorico "Sentir Criollo" has been around for seven years, and within these seven years they have numerous presentations that rank nation-wide. The founders of the organization are: Alexis Renteria, coreographer and director; Helen Rodriguez, Public Relations; and Helmer Torres. The organization started in 1994, and in 1996 it was registered in New Jersey as a Non-Profit Organization. The motive and main objective of the organization is to provide teens and adults with extra curricular activities to keep them off of the streets, another motive is to show our Hispanic culture and to teach teens and adults about our Heritage. Our final motive is to bring a little bit of our latin countries here to the United States.
